Britain Bank had a price list

The custom vending row beside the bank sold provisions for 20 gold, 100 arrows for 300, 100 bolts for 600, reagents for 1,800, a full spellbook for 15,000, and a player-vendor deed for 15,000. Rare eggs occupied the same row, with the Oracle reporting karma, fame, and kills for 500 gold.

That row appears in four compared Nov. and Dec. 1999 worlds. It is not a later story pasted onto the map.

Houses could become workshops

Novus defined deeds for forges, anvils, bulletin boards, vendors, archery buttes, spinning wheels, training dummies, and pickpocket dips. A house could be a smithy, guild room, training space, shop, or warehouse, but it was not a bank with walls around it.

The original rules also kept vendors outside town and forbade player-placed houses on Chaos and Order islands. Public routes and faction spaces remained public.

Not every old economy item was public

The scripts contain a 20,000-gold slot machine and a deed buyer paying 180,000 gold for one of its possible prizes. No world-rooted Dec. 1999 placement has been found for either. The Chronicle preserves the definitions; the current economy guide does not pretend there was a proven casino floor.
