Annotated town maps
Britain, Jhelom, Minoc, Papua, and Vesper survive with their original numbered overlays.
The Chronicle · NOS Stratics
In 2001, the official Novus homepage sent players to NOS Stratics for maps, walkthroughs, and shard knowledge. The pages are incomplete, but a meaningful part of that reference library survived
The recovered reference shelf
NOS Stratics was not a marketing page. It helped players find towns, understand the custom newbie area, compare equipment colors, and answer the ordinary questions created by a heavily customized shard.
The original HTML and map legends have not survived as a complete set. Numbered markers remain part of the maps, so this index records them without inventing labels. The modern Game Guide carries the practical job forward using verified Classic values.
What survived
Britain, Jhelom, Minoc, Papua, and Vesper survive with their original numbered overlays.
A five-image walkthrough sequence preserves the custom entrance, mining, combat, and progression spaces.
Small character images preserve named examples of Aqua, Rose, Old Copper, and Blue Steel-era equipment.
The searchable historical forum archive preserves advice, disputes, bug reports, and player knowledge across six collections.

Guide inventory
The sequence records a custom onboarding route rather than a loose set of unrelated screenshots. NOS Stratics taught the space in stages: arrival, greater danger, gathering, deeper rooms, and combat.
Custom walls, gates, lighting, and an explicit Novus client frame.
A visible progression from orientation toward greater danger.
A dedicated gathering environment tied to early character development.
Another preserved stage of the custom area and its visual vocabulary.
A live-client scene showing creatures, equipment, and the guide in use.
The reference continues
The historical collection explains how players documented Novus. The current Game Guide explains the shard running now. The forum archive preserves the conversations that filled the gaps between them.
