Screenshots and stories
Record the world while it is happening
How to preserve a fight, event, map, shop, guild, or ordinary day with enough context to matter later.
- Useful context
- Date · place · event · creator
- Credit
- Name the creator
- Private material
- Requires permission
Add the details memory loses
A screenshot is far more useful when it includes the approximate date, location, shard era, event, visible system, and the name of the person who made it. That context is why the 2001 NOS Stratics images and dated forum captures can still answer questions today.
Keep private material private
Do not publish account details, private messages, email addresses, real names, voice recordings, or support conversations without permission. Crop unrelated desktop content and personal paths before sharing a client screenshot.
From post to Chronicle
A well-documented tournament report, map, guild history, screenshot series, or video may become part of the Chronicle with the creator’s credit and any later corrections kept alongside it.
