Quests instead of handouts
Probe’s Nov. 1999 news and staff rules were direct: GMs did not raise skills or hand out special items, and quests were the route to unusual rewards. The item catalog includes Dragon Slayer, Flamesting, Kho’saf equipment, invulnerability leather, special bows, cloaks, shrouds, and the Holy Hand Grenade.
Tournament evidence
The Dec. 1999 world contains tournament-winner weapons, winners-area pads, and a rune to exchange with a GM for a prize. Later community reports record tournaments at Serpent’s Hold, Buccaneer’s Den, Occlo, and the Duel Pits, including named results in Dec. 2000 and July 2001.
No invented reward table
The surviving records prove staff-run events and tournament gear, but they do not preserve a complete reusable prize schedule. Redux records named rewards and their provenance rather than converting old player-owned items into a made-up loot table.
