Your first hour in Britain
A short route from character creation to the bank, shops, training, and the first trip beyond the guards.

- First Bank of Britain

Find the bank
Open your paperdoll, backpack, journal, and skills. Then find the First Bank of Britain. Put away anything you cannot replace and keep a second equipment set there before you begin making longer trips.
Classic’s selected bank limits are 4,000 items and 5,000 weight. That is room to keep working stock and spare equipment, but not a reason to carry every useful item into an unguarded dungeon.
- Learn the difference between your backpack, bank box, and containers inside them.
- Watch your weight before buying reagents, ammunition, or mining supplies.
- Keep a rune or route home only after you know where it actually leads.
- Read signs at gates and special areas; a destination may be unguarded.
Know the Britain landmarks
The city includes Strength and Steel, Heavy Metal Armoure, Britannia Animal Care, The Royal Stables, healers, provisioners, clothiers, taverns, and libraries. Beside the bank are the Novus vending stones and links to the Teleport Center, Duel Pits, and Vendor City.
Choose a first trade
Characters train skills rather than choosing a permanent class. Start with one job you can afford: weapon fighter, mage, miner, smith, animal handler, or merchant. The early goal is not a perfect template; it is enough skill, supplies, and map knowledge to recover from a bad trip.
Before you leave guarded ground
Novus allows player killing. Outside guard protection, carry useful equipment you can replace. The Newby Dungeon is marked no-PK and rejects characters whose listed combat or Magery skills exceed 65.0; it is a training area, not permanent shelter.
