The eggs were real items, not a later memory

The Dec. 1999 custom definitions include Dragon, Nightmare, Silver Steed, Balron, and Ostard eggs. Britain’s vending row priced a Dragon Egg at 50,000 gold, Nightmare and Silver Steed eggs at 250,000, a Balron Egg at 400,000, and a colored Ostard Egg at 15,000.

An older oddity also survives: a candle that asked whether you wanted to “frown at the clown” before creating the Insane Clown.

The bestiary changed familiar monsters

Novus supplied its own definitions for daemons, dragons, drakes, liches, a Liche Lord, ice dragon, wyvern, mummy, wyrm, Balron, and several orcs. The named custom set also includes the Silver Steed, Nightmare, Insane Clown, and blood drop.

Redux uses modern ownership

The original TUS egg behavior predates SphereX’s ownership and follower systems. Redux keeps the recognizable eggs and creatures while using current pet ownership, mounting, death, and persistence rules. The site does not invent breeding, hatch timers, or wild spawn locations that are absent from the selected source.
